Sustainability - Project LEED Certification

USGBC LEED Platinum Certification

The US Green Building Council has developed the most comprehensive voluntary system for designing, constructing and operating green buildings. It is called Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED®. It is currently the most prevalent industry standard available to score construction projects on sustainable characteristics. The rating system provides guidelines and standards for building & managing resource (and energy) efficient buildings.

Boyken International has recently completed program management on the Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas. The gardens have been recognized by the United States Green Building Council as one of the most earth friendly projects in the world, having achieved its highest certification, LEED-NC Platinum. Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is the first project in Texas and the 50th project in the world to earn the U.S. Green Building Council's Platinum Certification for LEED-NC, which verifies that the design and construction of Shangri La reached the highest green building and performance measures.

If a goal for your project is sustainability, Boyken International currently has staff certified as LEED® accredited professionals and can work with you to gain certification for your project.
