Schedule Control – Periodic Updates Once a baseline schedule is generated, it needs to be updated on a periodic and regular basis to document the progress of the project and manage project changes. Generally the process to update a schedule is:
  • Collect information from the project team
  • Verify information for accuracy and completeness
  • Record schedule progress based on verified information
  • Record actual cost/resources utilized during the period
  • Create provisional schedule
  • Gather team input and comments
  • Incorporate comments and create an updated schedule
Schedule Control – Third-Party Review Schedule review includes reviewing a third party (contractors’) schedule for contract compliance and sound design/ construction logic. Generally the process to perform a schedule review is:
  • Kickoff meeting
  • Receive contractor’s electronic schedules
  • Review baseline and updated schedules for contract compliance
  • Review schedules for construction sequencing
  • Analyze project critical path
  • Prepare and present schedule review report
