Project Controls - Recovery Scheduling
When a project begins to miss critical milestones, the development of schedules that provide for recovery of lost time is essential. Schedule delay or disruption analysis includes determining the existence, duration and often the cause of project delays due to actions of various project participants. Generally the process to perform a schedule delay analysis is:
  • Kickoff meeting
  • Review contractor’s electronic schedules
  • Review and validate baseline schedule
  • Develop historically adjusted baseline schedule
  • Evaluate time impacts due to actions of various parties
  • Prepare and present schedule delay analysis report

As follow-up service to the delay analysis, Boyken prepares a revised or recovery schedule. The schedule delay analysis process could be an integral part of broader forensic or expert services performed by Boyken. In any event, a delay analysis performed in the course of a project should lead to preparation of a recovery schedule.
