Project Controls - Managing or Reducing Change Orders
Boyken’s involvement in reviewing and negotiating change orders typically can save up to five percent of the total construction cost. We develop the fair market price for every change and evaluate contractor estimates against this standard. Boyken's analysis assures owners are charged fairly for incremental work and are protected from paying for work that has been deleted due to change orders.

We manage and coordinate request for information (RFI) and change order systems as well as time- and cost analysis of scope changes. The key is to resolve any change order issues quickly so the project avoids delay and resulting cost overruns.

In addition to validating that subcontractor prices have been correctly applied, Boyken ensures conformance with the contract. This distributes cost either to establish a new contract or to sum accumulated change orders. Owners know where their total and change-order budgets stand at any given time so there are no surprises at the end.
