The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians developed a destination resort and casino adjacent to the existing Silver Star Resort in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
The development includes a 572-room hotel, approximately 98,000 SF of gaming area, 36,000 SF of retail area and an elevated bridge connecting the new casino with the existing facility. Additionally, construction of a 1,090 car parking deck was recently completed. To clear the site for the new facility, a Retail Town Center was constructed to house the tenants currently occupying a shopping center located on the project site.
Boyken International was engaged to assist with this process, as well as to provide cost management, value management and handle all contract negotiations on the owner’s behalf. Boyken managed the designers and construction team controlling time and cost from start to finish.
