Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, West Indies
Disaster struck in November 1999 in the West Indies as Hurricane Lenny landed a direct hit on Nevis and the Four Seasons Resort.

In February 2000, Boyken was retained as project manager to organize and direct the design and reconstruction of the five-star, 196-key resort and golf course. A November opening was required, leaving just eight months to get the property up and running.

The Boyken team quickly established a game plan, subdividing the large project into smaller projects that included storm-water protection, beach restoration and pier reconstruction, building reconstruction, pools and amenities, and FF&E procurement and installation.

With extremely talented and dedicated staff working on the project, the resort reopened successfully in mid-November 2000 in time for the 2000 winter season, meeting targets and allowing the owners to reestablish its revenue stream.
